Christmas gift-giving for "strangers"?

I feel that snowmen are appropriate gifts, possibly filled with an ortment of nuts, trail mix or small candies. The snowmen represent winter to me, not necessarily Christmas. I would think that most people appreciate the fact that you are thoughtful enough to recognize them. If you have the time to get things ready for the holidays why not do it, they will be here before we know it. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
