Why did Barney Frank ,often referred to as one of the most liberal members of the US House of Representatives

You equate Liberal thought with automatic support for equality. All men are created equal, but end up differently. Forced equality is one of the banes of our modern life. Kids that can't get straight As are supposed to be coddled. Merit trumps equality, or there is no incentive to strive for anything in this country.
